The Luxembourg range, initially produced for the Jardin du Luxembourg in Paris, has become something of a legend in its own right. Its style is an emblem of French design – an expression of French culture in furniture form! Today, Luxembourg is a fabulous collection made from aluminium whose watchwords are lightness, joie de vivre and conviviality. Fermob asked Frédéric Sofia to reinterpret the legendary chairs and armchairs of the Jardin du Luxembourg, created in 1923 in the Paris parks department workshops, and which Fermob still manufactures today for the city’s public gardens. The high table of the Luxembourg collection by Fermob is ideally suited as an aperitif area on the terrace on warm summer evenings and is so timeless and elegant, that is can spend the winter in the kitchen. High table of extruded aluminium slats and pipes, the Luxembourg table is made to stay outside and withstand the elements. Thanks to the protective treatment, the table is both waterproof and UV-resistant. For a leisurely day in the sun, the Fermob Bistro table allows to be easily combined with a parasol. The opening in the table top allows it to take in an parasol pole with up to Ø 37 mm, so that the table makes for a cosy and shaded dining area.
